Am I the only one who had no idea what wedding planning consisted of until I got engaged?

Seriously you guys, I had no idea I would have 50 different options of "wedding planning checklists" from websites and magazines, and that on those checklists would be things I never even knew existed! Example: "Book a calligrapher." Excuse me? Am I supposed to have one of those? Example 2: "Research wedding insurance." No thank you.

I don't know about you, but quite frankly it is so daunting to actually have to make a final decision that I'm just procrastinating on making ANY decisions at all. Let me at least say that my wedding is still 17 months away, so I've got a lot of time. My lovely fiance wants to kill me because I've already changed my mind on what our colors will be about 3 different times in the 3 months we've been engaged.

I am venting all of this to you, my future readers/friends/bridal besties, because I've decided I'm going to blog about ALL of the details of my wedding right here on the Christy's blog. I started working at Christy's 3 days after I got engaged- thank you, universe- so what better way to combine my personal life with my work life than sharing everything with you girls?! I must be honest though, this is a selfish decision; I'm hoping it will motivate me to make actual wedding choices instead of continuing to go back and forth with the 294 bridesmaids styles I currently love.
