1. Do I need to schedule an appointment to try on bridal gowns?
Yes, we do prefer appointments for all brides. This will ensure that a member of the Christy's staff is available for your entire visit to the store. We pride ourselves on good customer service at Christy's, and an appointment is the best way to give you this service.
2. Do I need an appointment for other types of dresses?
For prom, mother of the bride, bridesmaids, and tuxedos, we recommend appointments but they are not necessary. You can stop into Christy's at any time to look at and try on our available merchandise.
3. How long before my wedding should I order my gown and my bridesmaids dresses?
For bridal gowns, we recommend ordering your gown 8 months before the big day. Typically, bridal gowns take 4-5 months to special order. If any changes are made or special hems ordered it can take up to 6 months. In addition to ordering time you need to leave space for alterations which we recommend starting 2 months before your wedding day so that you don't go into a fitting the week of your wedding. As far as bridesmaids, we recommend ordering these dresses 5-6 months in advance. Typical delivery time for bridesmaids is 12-14 weeks, and your girls may need time for alterations as well. We always like to allow cushion time for any type of ordering so that you aren't stressed out and worried right before the best day of your life!
4. What designers does Christy's carry?
Our bridal lines include Essense of Australia, Ella Bridals, and Alfred Angelo. If you are curious about whether we have a particular dress in stock for you to try on, please call or email us at any time! For bridesmaids, we carry Jasmine Bridal lines B2 and Belsoie, Alfred Angelo, and Bill Levkoff. Our special occasion and prom lines include Flirt! by Maggie Sottero and La Femme. We also offer a large variety of veils and other accessories from Bel Aire Bridal.
5. What about tuxedos?
At Christy's, we try to make your wedding day as stress free as possible. One of the ways in which you can accomplish this is by renting your tuxedos through Christy's so that your entire wedding party is going to the same place. We can ensure that your groomsmen match your bridesmaids perfectly. We have a huge variety of tuxedos supplied by Dubois Formalwear to fit any budget and style. If your wedding party has 5 or more groomsmen, your groom automatically gets his tuxedo rental free. If you're renting a total of 12 tuxedos, you get 2 of those free!
6. If I shop at Christy's Bridal for my prom dress, how do I know my friends won't buy the same dress?
At Christy's we NEVER sell the same prom dress twice to the same school. That means if every girl in your high school shopped at Christy's you would never see anyone wearing the same dress as you, no matter how big your school is!
7. What are the prices like at Christy's?
At Christy's Bridal we are committed to working with your budget. We have bridal gowns starting at $500 and ranging to $1599. Our bridesmaids prices are also competitive, with dresses starting at $130 and ranging to $240. Plus, if you buy your gown with us, your bridal party automatically gets 10% off their purchases! Tuxedo rentals start at $92 and range to $129.
